Last Updated on October 15, 2026

The Renewed Rhythms Blanket is an easy striped crochet blanket pattern. Made in seven textured sections, each strip brings a new rhythm to the blanket while keeping the overall design simple and relaxing to crochet.

I’m excited to be hosting the annual free crochet along blanket pattern with Shannon from The Loophole Fox Crochet! Together, we’ll be making this beautiful and easy crochet textured blanket with different stitches – one section at a time, giving you plenty of time to enjoy each part of the process.

The Renewed Rhythms Blanket comes in three sizes: baby, lapghan, and throw.

The Renewed Rhythms Blanket eBook

We know not everyone likes to jump from one page to another, or prefers to have their patterns without the ads in a cohesive PDF pattern, and work on the blanket at their own pace.

We have put together a cohesive eBook for the Renewed Rhythms Blanket that:

  • Gathers the full blanket in an ad-free printable PDF pattern in an easy-to-navigate format.
  • The eBook gathers all 7 different parts of the blanket, including the transition rows and all the information, in a consistently formatted file.
  • Detailed step-by-step photos and videos for each part of the blanket to help clarify stitch placement.

Construction of the Renewed Rhythms Blanket – An Easy Striped Crochet Blanket

The Renewed Rhythms Blanket is worked in seven sections, with each section featuring a different textured stitch to create a beautiful, rhythmic design from beginning to end.

The strips are worked one after another (no joining!) with 2 transition rows between each part.
This way of crocheting makes this an easy textured crochet blanket that is both interesting to make and simple to follow.

The pattern is available in three sizes:
Baby Blanket: Approx. 34×35 in (86×89 cm)
Lapghan: Approx. 48×49 in (122×124 cm)
Throw: Approx. 50×61 in (127×155 cm)

All sizes are made while working all 7 sections.
Whether you’re looking for an easy striped crochet blanket pattern for a little one, a cozy lapghan, or a larger throw, this crochet blanket with different stitches offers plenty of texture while keeping the construction approachable.

Gauge: The Blanket uses different types of stitches that differ slightly with their texture and gauge.
To make sure the blanket keep straight eadges, please make sure to check the hook size and work a small swatch to make sure your gauge matches the specific section.

After each part, we work two rows of transition rows that create a simple contrast color divider section, adding uniformity, giving the blanket a modern look, and emphasizing the next part’s different texture.

  1. Excited for the New CAL. I am so excited for this project and I am excited to learn a couple new to me stitches ♥️

  2. I’m very excited and a bit nervous for this project. I have been considering trying a CAL and this will be my first. I am so grateful for how thorough the instructions for preparation are, especially the chart of yarn needed. I have sooooo much yarn to choose from and it is going to be so much easier to decide on the colors since I know how much I will need.

    1. We’re honored you chose our blanket to be your first CAL!
Don’t be nervous! We’re here to help and encourage you, you’re welcome to join our fb groups to share your progress 🙂

  3. I have never done a CAL before. I’m a little concerned I won’t be fast enough to keep up. About how long does it take a relatively new crocheter to complete each section?

    1. Hi Dee,
You don’t need to worry about the pace. Although we have a “timeline”, everyone crochet the blanket at theor own pace. The tomeline is just for the releasing of the different sections of the blanket, which will always be available for you for free on the website.

  4. Thank you for the yarn amount charts. I had fun Saturday going to Hobby Lobby and picking out my colors. Can’t wait to get started – this will be my first blanket CAL and am looking forward to perfecting some new stitches since I am relatively new to learning how to crochet.
