This crochet lace flower pattern is very easy to crochet, it’s only 4 rows repeat and creates a gorgeous flowery fabric.
The instructions below contain both a very detailed photo-tutorial and a video tutorial for visual learners.

I love flower-themed patterns! They have something so romantic in them. This lovely flower lace stitch pattern can be use for different projects:
- Make a beautiful shawl
- Table runner
- Flowery crochet bookmark
- Work it in the round to make a market bag!
For my project, I used 100% cotton Sport weight yarn with a 3 mm crochet hook, but you can use any yarn you want with a suitable hook.

Materials I Used in This Tutorial
โ Crochet hook 3.0 mm (I love the Tulip Etimo crochet hooks).
โ Sport (#2) weight 100% cotton yarn โ I used Schachenmayr Catania yarn.
Abbreviations (US)
hdc – half double crochet
Puff-2 – (yo, insert hook into next st, yo and pull up a loop) x 2 times working into same st, yo and pull through 4 loops, yo again and pull through 2 remaining loops.
Puff-4 – (yo, insert hook into next st, yo and pull up a loop) x 4 times working into same st, yo and pull through 8 loops, yo again and pull through 2 remaining loops.
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
sp – space
yo – yarn over
* – Repeats are shown via asterisks. Repeat begins at * and ends at ;
[โฆ] – crochet the instructions within brackets into the same indicated stitch/space.
How to crochet the Puff-2 stitch
(Yo, insert hook into next st, yo and pull up a loop) x 2 times working into same st, yo and pull through 4 loops, yo again and pull through 2 remaining loops.

How to crochet the Puff-4 stitch
(Yo, insert hook into next st, yo and pull up a loop) x 4 times working into same st, yo and pull through 8 loops, yo again and pull through 2 remaining loops.

Notes
- This pattern is a stitch multiple of 14 chains + 15 chains +1 turning chain.
- You can work this pattern with any yarn weight, it can make a beautiful shawl, or a table runner!

Easy Crochet Lace Flower Pattern
Chain a multiple of 14 chains, then add 15 chains + 1 chain (turning chain).
Row 1 (WS): Work 1 hdc in the 2nd chain from the hook, 1 hdc in each ch to the end of the row, turn.
Row 2 (RS): Ch 2 (doesn’t count as a st here and throughout), [1 Puff-2, ch 3, 1 Puff-4] in same 1st hdc, ch 2, skip next 6 hdc, 1 sc in next hdc.
* Ch 2, skip next 6 hdc, [1 Puff-4, ch 3, 1 Puff-4, ch 3, 1 Puff-4] in next hdc, ch2, skip next 6 hdc, 1 sc in next hdc; Repeat from * until last 7 hdc.
Ch 2, skip next 6 hdc, [1 Puff-4, ch 3, 1 Puff-2], turn.










Row 3 (WS): Ch 1 (doesn’t count as a st here and throughout), 2 hdc in 1st Puff-2, 3 hdc in next ch-3 sp, 1 hdc in next Puff-4, 1 hdc in next ch-2 sp, 1 hdc in next sc, 1 hdc in next ch-2 sp.
* 1 hdc in next Puff-4, 3 hdc in next ch-3 sp, 3 hdc in next Puff-4, 3 hdc in next ch-3 sp, 1 hdc in next Puff-4, 1 hdc in next ch-2 sp, 1 hdc in next sc, 1 hdc in next ch-2 sp; Repeat from * until last 2 Puffs left.
1 hdc in next Puff-4, 3 hdc in next ch-3 sp, 2 hdc in next Puff-2,turn.






Row 4 (RS): Ch 1, 1 sc in 1st hdc.
* Ch 2, skip next 6 hdc, [1 Puff-4, ch 3, 1 Puff-4, ch 3, 1 Puff-4] in next hdc, ch2, skip next 6 hdc, 1 sc in next hdc; Repeat from * to the end of the row, turn.



Row 5 (WS): Ch 1, 1 hdc in 1st sc.
* 1 hdc in next ch-2 sp, 1 hdc in next Puff-4, 3 hdc in next ch-3 sp, 3 hdc in next Puff-4, 3 hdc in next ch-3 sp, 1 hdc in next Puff-4, 1 hdc in next ch-2 sp, 1 hdc in next sc; Repeat from * until the end of the row, turn.
Repeat rows 2-5.
