Dancing Tulips Crochet C2C Baby Blanket

Last Updated on June 15, 2026

This beautiful crochet C2C baby blanket is based on the Moss stitch, with delicate floral elements. Work from corner to corner to avoid the long starting chain and create a unique construction of a crochet baby blanket with flowers.

I designed the baby blanket after releasing the Floral C2C Moss Stitch dishcloth. This design is based on the Moss stitch and worked from corner to corner. While you have the easy, relaxing rhythm of the C2C Moss, the leaves and flowers are a welcomed interuption, adding some interest to the pattern, creating a flower crochet baby blanket.

Another advantage of using the C2C method is that the edges of the blanket are straight and clean, so you don’t have to add a border (you can totally add one if you’d like!).

The Yarn I Used For My Diagonal Crochet Blanket

For the blanket you see in the photos, I used Knit Picks – Swish yarn. This is a 100% Fine Superwash Merino Wool Worsted (#4) weight yarn. It’s very soft with a beautiful stitch definition and beautiful colors.
You can use any Worsted weight yarn you have in your stash, the fiber content won’t matter in this pattern.

For my blanket, I used 3 colors, I know it’s not always easy to put colors together, so I put together a few color options for you. The shades mentioned are Swish yarn.

Notes

  • The blanket is worked from corner to corner.
  • To make it easier to find the ch3 / ch2 spaces at the end of the row, place a stitch marker when you ch3/ch2 at the beginning of each row.
  • Use the stitch count table at the end of the written instructions to help you keep track of the pattern.
