The Cornerstone Stitch is an easy crochet blanket stitch, that creates a beautiful texture with a few rows repeat.
It uses the contemporary Moss stitch pattern with the addition of the beautiful Bean stitch. This stitch pattern will make a lovely crochet blanket, but it can also be used to many other projects, such as washcloths, hot pads, and pillow covers.

After I released the Cornerstone C2C blanket pattern I got many requests to write this pattern in a “regular” way and not from corner to corner. I’m glad I got these requests because I think this will make a very easy crochet blanket stitch, unlike the C2C method which can be tricky for some people.
The Cornerstone stitch is a variation of the Moss stitch, then every 3 rows we add Bean stitches and alternate their place so they won’t be stacked on top of each other.
This pattern can be easily adapted to any size you want (check out the stitch multiple in the pattern notes). The yarn weight can also be used according to the project you are making, this crochet stitch will be beautiful in any yarn weight!
