Crochet Wheat Stitch – Waves of Grain Pattern

Last Updated on October 13, 2024

The Waves of Grain pattern is my version of a crochet wheat stitch.

Combining v stitch with puff stitches creates a gorgeous wheat texture and a cozy fabric, perfect for blankets.

I first designed this stitch for the Waves of Grain C2C Blanket.

When I first designed the Waves of Grain pattern, I wanted the fabric to have this wheat-field feeling, and I came up with this crochet wheat stitch.

To create the wheat-look I used the C2C V Stitch and added some puff stitches for the grains and wheat ears look, then the stitches are alternating and the rows are switched every 3 repetitions.

I also used this stitch in my Waves of Grain C2C Table Runner.
