I’ve clicked the photo, the code the click her to visit pattern… after then I somehow finally get to the pattern but what the heck am I doing wrong thank you

I’m sorry for the trouble.
When you get to the designer’s page (for the skinny scarf), please scroll all the way down and look for the big DOWNLOAD button with the event’s decoration. It will take you to the Ravelry page where you can apply the code.
